Glasgow This small lithographic tin was produced in the shape of a blacksmith's anvil and bares highly detailed artwork relating to the craft. The McFarlane Lang company dates back to 1817 Scotland when James Lang opened his first bakery in Gallowgate. His nephew, John Macfarlane, joined the company and took over when James died. The company would later expand to London and open Imperial Biscuit Works in 1903.
