The area is marked off by a ring of posts with legend: IPSWICH CROSS 1794. Reverse: Legend on six lines: PAYABLE AT CONDERS DRAPERY WAREHOUSE IPSWICH. Milled edge. James Conder was a linen draper at Tavern Street, Ipswich. Virtually as struck with considerable red lustre. Spinks. 6 24. the Pritchard Collection of 18th Century Provincial
