Their sound has been compared to "an angrier, socially conscious Kimya Dawson" by Chris Conaton, while Mapes have described their more recent style as "echoing second wave emo sourness, britpop jagle, and classic alt rock". Released in 2017 on the ANTI record label, "Powerplant" is the band's
