Late 19th Century Adjustable Over-Bed Reading Stand glasss 1890s-1910sThis late Victorian over bed reading stand was designed to bring books and papers directly to hand while resting. The rectangular top is divided into two panels, with one section capable of tilting and locking into multiple positions by way of a notched wooden support. The flat side allows writing or additional materials to rest securely. The stand's turned central column adjusts for height using a pegged system with chain linked pin, supported by a
