Rarest of all the spike bayonet scabbards and show some wear

Over time this plate has released pressure on the finial so it rotates in it's own mounting

We were not able to find any regimental designation stamped anywhere on this rifle

This is a very good condition Imperial German line Infantry enlisted man's Mannschaften (other ranks) pickelhaube, as issued in the Knigreich Sachsen (Kingdom of Saxony). The M1895 was the final pre 1914 evolution in a long series of spiked helmets. The spike on top denotes infantry issue and retains correct brass chinstrap lugs, cockades, and chin strap. This helmet features a wappen (front plate) with a gilt brass
