I think he would be great holding a bunch of flowers or a few branches of fall leaves or winter berries

6 7/8" x 6 1/2" x 1 7/8" and in very good antique condition

This fun guy doesn't have wings but he does remind me quite a lot of the winged monkeys from Oz

c. 1920s-30s Carved and Painted Folk Art Bird on Scalloped Base deep bowl I think he would beI found this little carved and painted bird in upstate New York not far from Albany, and it seems to me likely the creation of a folk carver in a cabin somewhere in the Adirondacks in the 1920s or 30s or so. I take the bird with gray body and black band around its neck as duck, either taking off or just landed, with wings outspread and neck extended. Lovingly carved, with nicely tapering wings and tail, and attached by nailed legs to the cream painted
