These 2 specimens were cast in solid sterling silver

Both of these gorgeous pendants were designed with a freeform circular focal made by pressing fine silver sheet into an impression plate

Copper Cicada Wing Earrings with Vesuvianite Earrings 2 1/4" long from earlobeThese copper cicada wings have been formed by cutting out the shape from a pancake die in a hydraulic press. Various stamps have been used by hand to give a very southwest vibe. Both wings have been backed with another stamped layer of copper sheet. A 6mm olive green vesuvianite cab rests in the center of both. The copper has been oxidized (blackened) in liver of sulphur, sanded to bring out the highlights of the silver, & then tumbled in steel shot
