This is a lovely example of a typical Flintlock Fur Trade musket, most likely sold by the well known Hudson Bay Company. During the 18th and early 19th centuries, the fur trade was big business in North America, as the large areas of wilderness will still mostly untouched. Getting high quality fur was much easier, and many colonists and Native Americans engaged in trapping and hunting for the trade. The musket has a very
