and a line of green grass all around the bottom

I have to think this one might have been done by a parent

which can be a bit of a challenge to decipher but with a little effort one learns that Witnose was a little and knowing and pretty cat

Excellent c. 1940s Pink Eared Bunny Folk Art Napkin Holder kitchen canisters was owned by the LiggettA very sweet and gentle feeling bunny, and I really love the way its two tall ears evince a single, flame like (all hearing) appendage. Some nice alligatoring to the paint too, and I love the view from the back side as much as the front, making it look as though this white rabbit were hopping over a hill. (It's a bit hard to tell from photos but that is dark green paint.) A good one for holding outgoing mail soon to be carried away! 5 1 2" t x 3 3 4"
