This is an outstanding medal and insignia grouping identified to Wylie Burke Saunders, a Canadian from Nova Scotia who enlisted on September 26th, 1914, being assigned to the 1st Motor Machine Gun Brigade, CEF. Sometime in 1918, he joined the Royal Air Force and trained as a flight cadet, which is what his rank was when issued these medals. Both the Victory and War medals are rim engraved 360550. F CADET.
