it has lost part of the roof on one side

It is a curious one though

as do significant amounts of the red paint on the sides

and the lack of contextualizing details

Reminds me in many ways of Spencerian calligraphic drawings, but folkier, and I especially love the handling of the jockey's face, with all those tiny ink dots making it look almost as if he were wearing a mask or that much of his face were covered in stubble, which lends a bit of eeriness to the drawing in an interesting sort
