The hinges all work great and the brass latch is perfectly attached and lays flush

and it is fairly hard not to want to gently hoot when you have it on

and with the mirror still in pretty much perfect condition

but the skillfulness of the carving and beauty of the wood make it feel like quite an elegant thing
