I have a vague recollection of seeing this wonderful fish tureen for sale at Bennington Potters sometime in the 80s

and bands of pattern around neck and base

This is just a lovely piece

I'd guess it was done by a street artist at a fair or tourist destination

The surface decoration is what makes it special a bright white slip animated with these great inky blue, calligraphic marks around the exterior and then intensified all over the interior. Pretty, cheerful, and hospitable feeling.
