16th-century Swatow Ming Porcelain Shipwreck Plate _Round 1" W x 3" HThis mid 16th century Swatow ware porcelain plate is among John Derian's trove of handpicked vintage & antique goods. Dating back to the late Ming Dynasty era (c. 1540 AD), the plate features a phoenix bird motif with stylized blossoms and bamboo foliage. This piece maintains a marine patina after being submerged in water for centuries before its recovery during a historical shipwreck salvage excavation. Details approx. 10. 5" W and 1. 75" Deep
