I'm getting more and more into carved wooden objects

wooden toothbrush

and the dynamism of the whole thing

with black ink (I think maybe combined with crayon and/or paint) for the hair and red for the cheeks and mouth

1930s-40s I believe

Pretty Arts and Crafts Soft Green Glazed Art Pottery Vase embroidered figure in traditional costume I'm getting more and moreI can't pass by a nice Arts and Craft vase, and this is a lovely one. I've looked and looked and have not found another with the same form, so I'm not sure of the maker, but I'm pretty sure earlyish 20th century American. Possibly Zanesville, which I always gravitate to! One of the things I love about this green glaze is that it is gorgeous in combination with anything, and looking at it now makes me look forward to the first daffodils of spring.
