SOLD Early 1850s Hand-drawn Ink and Watercolor Map of South America antique folk art. carved figure Here I'm not sure whichI managed to find the published map this hand drawn one was based on, printed as a engraving in Samuel Augustus Mitchell's(1792 1868) Mitchell's School and Family Geography, 1839. Though interesting now to see Chili spelled with an "i" and Buenos Ayres as a country, etc., this hand drawn version is pretty true to the published one except a million times better for being hand done! Excellent hand lettering in a young hand all over, and wonderful
