The belt has a beautifully toned metal brocade with blue stripes

so it probably had it removed at some point

the last time it was worn by people in significant numbers was at the Coronation in 1953

This is a lovely classic Army Officer's "Dove Head" Sword, made by the well known firm of Alcoso Werke in Solingen, Germany, complete with the correct steel scabbard. This piece is a real treasure as it is not constructed from the later war aluminum, but rather is made of solid brass, which was originally fully gilt. Since then it has been cleaned several times, and now shows a lovely lightly oxidized brass color,
