This is an artificial silk map sheet J3 and J4 Italian map which is an unusual in that it is based on native Italian maps and not a Bartholomew map. The key legend is also unusual as it is in Italian, German, French, English, Dutch and we think Hungarian and Yugoslavian. Records show that it was printed in 1942. It was issued to airborne units and this particular map was issued to a member of the 505th Parachute Infantry
