Beautiful Old Wood and Wire Rack, Presumed Extra Large Farmhouse Egg Carrier antique Native American drawing but it is double layeredFound in Vermont the other day, this just struck me as a very beautiful thing, with a poetry to the way each arch of wire differs a bit in form from the next, together creating a delicate sort of field that feels like a 3 dimensional line drawing floating like a cloud above the wooden armature. I believe the original function was as a tray for holding and carrying eggs and a good lot of eggs it would have carried! All sorts of creative ways one might
