This is a very nice original American made WWI M1917 Doughboy helmet bearing a hand painted red arrow insignia of the 32nd Division. The helmet retains its original liner, most of the upper felt crown pad, paper label, and the leather chinstrap. The divisional paint shows honest wear but remains readily identifiable. The front of the shell bears the distinctive insignia of the 32nd Division, consisting of a red arrow
