Wonderful Old Carved Beaver native American stone carved pipe 1900 and with a thin

1900 and with a thin coat of varnish I believe

with initials in block letters on both sides and a mix of swirls across the top and a pice of old cloth tape at one one corner-altogether looking like it got a lot of use over a bunch of years

but much weathered and a bit harder to make out

looks to me as if she has suddenly lost her way

There is a small area of discoloration just below the feet

Small but wonderfully detailed all that intensively carved fur and those tiny little feet and crosshatched tail! Definitely an old carving, with a terrific dark dry wood patina. Very charming. 3 1 2" l x 1 1 2" t x 1 1 16" w and in very good condition. Late 19th early 20th c. I would guess.
