This is a solid tight example . 44 caliber percussion, 6 shot round cylinder revolver, however instead of the usual 8 inch barrel, this is fitted with a 4. 5 inch barrel. It is not clear when the barrel was shortened, but the clear engraving and lack of barrel wear indicates it may have been at the factory, or very soon after it
