This is a very rare totally original M1916 holster, made by Milwaukee Saddlery Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in very nice condition. It is marked MILWAUKEE SADDLERY CO. 1944 on the back, and embossed U S on the flap, indicating that this was a military issue holster. The leather body of the holster is a lovely honey brown, while the belt loop clip holder has matured to a darker color. There is a "crack" in the leather
