This old ship in a bottle whimsy has accumulated a good amount of dust and dirt inside over the years

The full scale and general nature of them makes me imagine that they were not made by a father for his children

so have been keeping a close eye out for others--and then along came this one

I would guess Pennsylvania Scandinavian or German, based on both the name and the manner of decoration, 3rd quarter 19th century I would guess. Wonderful old paint, hand forged iron nails, perfectly wonky
