Lanman 3rd quarter 19th century IMy favorite darning samples are the very fine early Dutch ones and also very folky examples like this one, which I believe is American, late 19th century or so, and quite likely extracted from a sewing sample notebook done by a girl in school. Here, you can really see, and feel, each stitch, back and forth, working very hard to build those grids! Super sweet.
