The spine here slides a nudge and then pops off, revealing two brass screws on the side of the box that slide into the grooves of the brass plate on the spine piece to hold it all together. (All as shown in later photos). Once that spine is removed, one can open the slide lid of on the back side of the box to stash one's tiny treasures in what feels
