It was equipped with the powerful 7. 5 cm KwK 40 L 43 cannon, which had significantly greater penetration than the previous short cannon. This made it a dangerous opponent for Allied tanks such as the Soviet T 34. The armor was reinforced compared to the F1 version, but remained vulnerable to more powerful enemy weapons.
