An extensive and fascinating lot of 23 private wartime photographs from the estate of Admiral Otto Schniewind (Knights Cross of the Iron Cross, 20 April 1940), primarily consisting of unpublished and candid images depicting Schniewind in uniform (some with the Knights Cross clearly visible), on board Kriegsmarine vessels and on land, showing the Admiral on review of personnel, inspecting ships and equipment, and attending
