Italy, Kingdom. An Order Of The Crown, Ii Class Grand Officer Star Newly Listed of Russian manufacture circa 1945(Ordine della Corona d'Italia). Instituted in 1868. Insignia in Gold with red, white, blue, green and black enamels, mounted to an eight pointed silver star base, the star points with swirl faceting, maker marked "E. GARDINO SUCC. CRAVANZOLA ROMA" on the reverse cartouche, measuring 77. 3 mm (w) x 77. 5 mm (h), vertical pinback, dark patina on the reverse, chipping and loss evident in blue and white enamels on the centrepiece, better than fine.
