Germany, Weimar. A Silesian Eagle, Ii Class Hold 2) An Iron Merit Cross(Schlesischer Adler, II. Klasse). Constructed of blackened magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a Silesian Eagle overlaid by silvered crescent and cross, clutching a silvered banner with a raised inscription of FR SCHLESIEN (FOR SILESIA), measuring 31. 56 mm (w) x 46. 53 mm (h), weighing 19. 8 grams, in better than very fine condition.
