Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1863 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels,consisting of a Cross Patte with white enameled arms highlighted in gilt, the obverse with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised crown, within a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD IS WITH US) with arabesques, the reverse with a
