Constructed of silvered magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with Luftwaffe device, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised number 18, unmarked, measuring 35. 65 mm (w) x 40. 15 mm (h),
