The band was formed by Andy Spence and Tahita Bulmer in 2004. Their influences are predominantly post punk and new wave artists. Their debut album, Fantastic Playroom, was released on 6 July 2007. Songs from the album have featured in The Inbetweeners, Friday Night Lights and Gossip Girl. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2007. 2026 sees its first repress on vinyl
