Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Latin Cross, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, with a central black swastika on a white enameled medallion, circumscribed by a raised inscription of DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER (TO THE GERMAN MOTHER), with stylized sun rays between the quadrants, the reverse with an institution date of 16.
