Germany, Third Reich. A 1938 Kyffhäuserbund Marksmanship Competition Victor’s Shield Republic of dated to October 4(Abzeichen Plakette Schild Reichskriegerbund Wettkampfsieger 1938). Constructed of cupal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a 1914 Iron Cross, surrounding a central bullseye target overlaid by a date of 1938 and crossed rifles, topped by a detailed depiction of the Kyffhuser Monument and a plaque bearing an inscription of WETTKAMPFSIEGER (COMBAT GAMES VICTOR), attached to a backplate with a black wool
