Constructed of a brown card stock with 38 paginated interior pages filled with stamped and handwritten entries, named to GERHARD SCHUBERT, a Matrosengefreiter who was born on 15 June 1925 and who rendered service to minesweeper units, receiving the Minesweeper War Badge (3 September 1944) and 1939 Iron Cross II Class (15 September 1944), and who spent a lengthy time in hospital owing to illness, retaining a certified black and
