In bronze gilt, number impressed "15" on the edge, measuring 38 mm (w) x 49. 2 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, scattered gilt wear, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Louw Wepener Medal was instituted in 1967 and was discontinued in 1975. It was awarded for bravery, normally non operational and could be awarded posthumously, the recipient entitled to use the post nominal letters
