A first pattern eagle, constructed of silvered tomback, the obverse consisting of a droptail style Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a block hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 87 mm (w) x 56 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish to the obverse, an early and high quality
